Vote in Virginia today

February 10, 2004

Just a reminder to everyone in Virginia that today is the Democratic presidential primary. You don’t have to be a Democrat to vote, just a democrat.

I voted today for Howard Dean. It’s a bit disillusioning to see him falter so bad, but from everything I know about him as a candidate, he was the best one for me. Plus, I didn’t want to hand the nomination to John Kerry.
Kerry is so typically Washington, talking without saying anything. Everyone I know keeps asking what he did to get his bounce, and no one can figure it out. He didn’t have a great message or vision for the future of the country. He is the “safe” candidate.
I also considered John Edwards, but aside from being the candidate with the positive voice and his dad working in a mill, I couldn’t tell you much about him.
I never really considered any of the other candidates, for various reasons.

Anyway, enough talk, go vote!

Georgia’s school superintendent reversed course Thursday, allowing “evolution” to be used in Georgia classrooms. Read about it on CNN. Glad they came to their senses…
